The Faculty of Dentistry was established in 2001 as the first Faculty of Dentistry outside the capital. The first batch (Batch 24) graduated in 2007. The aim of the Faculty of Dentistry is to graduate a dentist with high knowledge and skills, distinct moral character, virtuous, and committed to teamwork.

Faculty Goals

 1. Qualify students at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the field of dentistry.
2. Actively participate in the delivery of health services in the field of oral and dental surgery.
3. Conduct research and surveys for dental diseases in order to assist in their control.
4. Prepare trained and qualified technical health staff in the areas of the Faculty specialty
5. Cooperation with the Ministry of Health and relevant bodies in order to upgrade the performance of dental hospitals
6. Provide counseling and advice to the relevant authorities with regard to dental care.

The Faculty offers the degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (M.B.B.S) in ten semesters. It adopts the semester and credit hours system with continuous training.
